P&L for 21/06/09
Football : 8.31
P&L since last post : 8.31
Obviously I didn't decide to have the day off. Found myself watching a Phillipino basketball game on betfair video this afternoon wondering if there was an opportunity. Then I gave myself a good slap and stopped being such an addict. LOL.
Football.
9 trades on 6 matches. A couple of big after goals on some of the international matches. Saw a strange happening on the spanish segunda match. At half time I went in at 1.98 and once matched layed for 1.97. Almost immediately a lay of over £9000 came in at 2.0 and a back of over £3000 at 2.04. This seemed very srange to me as only £48000 total had been matched on the under market and most amounts were in the tens or hundreds, so what was this?. A spoofer?, it was there for the rest of half time. Someone trying to get there back at 2.04 taken and stopping the price from dropping?. Someone who knew something I didn't about how the match would go after HT?, it's not like it was a greek match, LOL. I left my lay where it was and got out just after the match restarted. Who knows?.
Still one more match to go this evening, Brazillian, but I'm knackered after a day of doing nothing so I'll give it a miss..
Wimbledon.
Why is there no market for the roof staying open all tournament?. Ha Ha HA!!
I'm not a tennis expert, as can be seen from some of my trading. I never paid any attention to tennis till I got into trading. I used to hate tennis when I was younger, along with snooker and cricket, because it would mean that there would be no Star Trek on BBC2 for weeks, LOL. However I've an opinion or two and where better to flap my gums.
First up for me tommorrow will be:
Blake v Seppi . Blake is on court 3 which I hope they have video for and I'm sure he'll hold a serve or two for a trade.
Del Potro v Clement. I can't find court info on Del Potro but hope to trade a serve or two on him.
Fed v Lu . Starting the centre court action at 1300. His match odds price is so low and heavy with money that he will be a set betting trade for certain.
S Williams v Silva. On centre court after Fed. Is Serena fit again? Her play prior to this and her leg injury leaves me with doubt. She could have course been showing to avoid a fine in her last few tournaments and resting her leg for a Wimbledon title. I certainly would not want to back her at 1.02 and won't be trading her unless I'm sure she is playing well. I'll definately watch though.
Soderling v Mueller. Hope to trade Soderling for a serve or two. One of the court one matches on Betfair video.
Kudryatseyva v Dememtieva. The demented one should win this but it's WTA so you never know how it's going to play out. Straight sets or break and re-break. I'm tempted to leave the girls alone this tournament. I definately won't be going in unless I'm seeing some great play.
Bennetau v Djokovic. Should be a win for Djokovic unless he's still reeling from last week. Will be trying to catch a tick or two from him.
Verdasco v Ward. Can Verdasco loose this?. I doubt it, but I'll be watching carefully before trading any of his serves.
Robredo v Gregorc. Suprised Robredo is so high. Will watch this one as well before deciding any course of action.
There may be other matches I'll be keeping an eye on looking for a tick or two as the day progresses. No daytime football to interfere as well just U21 matches at night.
Those who are tennis pundits may poo poo my thoughts as obvious or niave and of little value. So be it. I know I'll not profit looking for over evens winners or even backing at over 1.5, I don't know enough about the game or the players. So I'll stick to getting my couple of ticks on good players service games. I'm serious on what I said about the girls though. No trading unless I see good play. I may not trade any WTA matches at all if it's unpredictable.
I'm forutnate I suppose to be off work for this tournament, but I'd skip the whole thing and work double shifts for a fortnight if it meant that I was free of this injury.
Keep it green everybody.
