41 markets traded. 1 red of £68.29. If betfair had suspended the market when the goal went in instead of 2 seconds later my back wouldn't have been matched but hey we all know how crap they can be. Still a good green for the weekend. Bank is at a high level. Starting to get edgy and paranoid that losses lurking around every trade. Must force myself to keep on and not give in to fear.

Keep it green everybody.

Another no red week, by the skin of my teeth. 32 markets traded. On one trade my back was 1 second from being matched when the market suspended for a goal. Sooooo Lucky!. Very boosting to see a 3 figure green or a week P&L.

I wish my weight loss activities had been as successful. Since my last weigh in on 03/09 at 108.2kg I have only dropped 1.7kg to 106.5kg. I was a bit lax last week on my exercise and I did have big drinking session last weekend so I've only myself to blame but it's still heading in the right direction. I will redouble my efforts for the next weigh in on 15/11.

My T-mobile PAYG sim arrived on Monday and I whacked it in the Galaxy S. The Network is not bad but there is still terrible latency, as with all mobile networks. T-mobile do themselves no favours with such an awkward customer service system. I texted MONTHWEB to them to activate a 30 day 'unlimited' internet booster for £5. I later noticed they were charging me the standard £1 a day for internet. I could not get anybody on the phone, the automated system kept hanging up on me, and I eventually had to resort to speaking to a customer service person on Twitter. TWITTER!!. After an all day conversation, each reply taking 2 hours, they activated my booster and then with further prompting refunded the money they had taken from me. So all's well....
Looking forward to the official Froyo update at the end of the month as the leaked and modified version I'm using is still a bit buggy.

Starting to get a bit chilly outside, farewell summer.

Keep it green everybody.

34 markets traded. 2 losses totalling £105.35. The first was from overconfidence and the second was a bit of a chasing loss. I still struggle with discipline and patience. Still managed to come out of the weekend green though.

There some fiendishly addictive games available for this Galaxy S. I've heard of people talking about Angry Birds before but never played it until I got the Beta version for Android. Couldn't put it down until I was finished. Still modding away to get it up to top spec as the way it comes out of the factory is pretty poor considering it's a high end device. Still waiting on my T-mobile PAYG sim to test out it's mobile internet capability's. I was able to get 2 new batteries and an external charger from ebay for under a tenner. Quality is not bad from the chatter on the forums. More later.

Keep it green everybody.

23 markets traded. No reds!. Good to have an all green week, at least on the football. Wednesday and Thursday while seeming like quite busy nights just had lots of matches on at the same time which isn't a lot of use as I can only keep an eye on so many at once.

Tennis.

I weakened on Monday night and went in on Nadal when he was playing well against Djoko. I could have had a good green if I'd hedged out but I got greedy and then the rain came. The price rose as people anticipated what the rain break would do and I had to take the small red as I couldn't stay up to wait and see. I was tempted to leave a lower green out in place and see what happened but decided to play safe.

I was finally able to wrestle my Galaxy S from the clutches of my local delivery office on Wednesday night. The phone originally came from Orange but it was no problem unlocking it for any network. Thank you Samsung for leaving the unlock code in the phone itself. I couldn't stand all the Orange branded firmware so I flashed it with the latest firmware and a leaked version of 2.2 Froyo. Much better. Unfortunately the T-mobile PAYG sims I had in the house were no longer valid so I've not been able to try out the Internet functions of it except on WiFi at home. My Vodafone contract had no data allowance. I've ordered a new sim from T-mobile to use until my contract runs out. I like the big display but it's not as good as I was hoping for reflectivity and daylight legibility. Still very nice to look at outside of direct light. Still getting to grips with all the stuff on it. Battery life seems a bit sparse but apparently it will get better as it gets more use and I make more adjustments. Still may be worth investing in a spare battery if going to be heavy usage every day. There is even a blogpsot app for blogging on the go. Overall I'm very happy with it so far.

Let's hope the weekend is a good one.

Keep it green everybody.

42 markets traded this weekend. 2 reds totalling £116.24. The first was standard stuff. The second could have been avoided and I think I was still stinging from the first and chasing a little bit. Fortunately I had a good green before the losses came and so I was able to get back to green without too much difficulty.

All I've kept thinking this weekend is 'A Galaxy S is on it's way'. I'm such a geek but I can't help it. I hope the seller posts it promptly(like yesterday). I'll give you a small review on Friday.

Could have been worse I suppose.

31 markets traded. 2 reds totalling £118.12. Quiet on Wednesday and Thursday matchwise. Not a catastrophic red by any means. I will try to do better over the weekend.

I won the first auction I bid on ebay for a Samsung Galaxy S £320 + £5 postage. This was £10 less than the maximum bid I was prepared to make. The seller has told me he will send it out tomorrow so I hope to get it Monday or Tuesday. This will be my last expensive toy purchase for quite some time.

Stupid mistake yet again.

Football.

23 markets. 1 red of £268.53. I wasn't paying attention to what stake button I had selected and somehow had the full stake button active. I realised as soon as the back was matched and whacked in a lay to scratch and of course with 1 second to go before entering the market a goal is scored. BOLLOCKS. So I had to take the red on the chin. It was stupid to even have a full bank stake button set in the first place. It's just a habit I have of setting 100% 50% 25% and 10% every time I gain more green even though I only use the 10%. From now on I will only set a 10% and 25% button. I did manage £118.74 green this weekend and would have still came out green if I hadn't made this mistake.

I got to play with my friends Galaxy S yesterday. His new contract doesn't begin for a month and he has no data allowance on his existing contract so he brought it around to me to try out on my WiFi. I was dismayed to see all the 3 network crap on it that would keep telling me to turn on the 3G connection even though the WiFi was connected. Every single app using internet would throw up the message, even the sodding radio. When I get mine I will root it and upgrade to Android 2.2 with no network shite to clog it up. Amazing phone though.

Keep it green everybody.

"TENNIS!!" I hear you cry. I know. I weakened.

Football.

16 markets this week. No reds. A very good green bolstered by a sudden upsurge in the market as I was going in on Montenegro v Wales tonight. A mad bot or a miss click I don't know but I profited from it.

Tennis.

I got lured in to the tennis with it being on late and me being bored. Just 5 matches and all fairly safe first rounds with the matches going well before I got in. I'll be steering clear for the rest of the tournament.

Today was weighing day. 21 days since my last weigh in and I've dropped 3.6kg to 108.2kg. I'm quite pleased with this as I had to scale back the exercise the last 2 weeks due to my back problems. I hope that in 3 weeks time on 24/09 I see 4kg+ loss now that I'm back on the x-trainer more rigorously. I'm now at the half way point having lost a total of 18.5kg since the beginning of January with 18.2kg to go to target.

Lots of international football this weekend to keep me busy and away from the tennis.

Keep it green everybody.
