Today has sucked ass!!
Football.
5 football trades today. Standard stuff.
Tennis.
One match. Safina v Hantuchova. I could start ranting about how bad the match was. I could moan about how poor the standard of play was. I could rage about how Safina was playing well below the level at which she can play and all the UE and racket chucking going on. I Won't. I made many fundamental mistakes in this match and I have no one to blame but myself.
1. I should never have got involved in the first trade I did when Safina had suffered a break and was at 1.4. I had this idea that it would be a usual Safina slow start and I could get value.
2. When I did I should have asked for 1.39, which I would have got instead of 1.38 which I did not and then the price shot out as she was broken again.
3. When I redded out for a £35 loss I should have closed the market, stopped watching and left it alone.
4. I should have not backed Hantuchova when she took the first set and began to take the lead in the second set bringing her price down to 1.37. I had some stupid idea about recovering all my losses. I then had to dump it when Safina began to comeback and the price shot out. Red now £73.
5. I should not have rebacked Safina at 1.47 in the 3rd set when it was break and re-break back and forward. Even though this trade went my way and I reduced the loss to £69 it was still a bad trade.
So one WTA match which I made every pathetic chasing gambler mistake possible on and I managed to wipe out 62 trades worth of profit and an entire weeks worth of effort. I'm dissapointed in myself as I thought I had made progress to overcoming this type of thing.
I will have to redouble my efforts and select my trades much more carefully in future. Tomorrow is another day and all that.
In other news...
Doc visit this morning. I was a bit disheartened when the Doc disabused me of the notion that my pain will be dissapearing anytime soon. It could concievably be quite some time, if ever, before I'm back to my old self again. I got another load of painkillers and 2 more weeks off work. I felt quite down when I got home. This may have contributed to my foolish trading. Well, I suppose I can look forward to 2 weeks of wimbledon at least. Nothing for it but to soldier on.
Keep it green everybody.
