P&L for 01/06/09

Football : 1.00
Tennis : 2.52

P&L since last post : 3.52

Football.

3 trades on football. Nothing of major importance.

Tennis.

7 trades on Tennis today. 1 on Haas and 6 on Del Potro. I backed Del Potro at the start of each service game and he didn't dissapoint. I got 4 1 tick trades and 2 2 tick trades and to be honest could have had 2 ticks on all of them.

Another decent day today. 21 consecutive green days. I hope it continues.

Keep it green everybody.

  1. hi mate, ive read through pretty much all your archives and i totally understand your betting patterns and how you feel with regards to chasing losses.

i used to be just like that myself but over the soace if 2 months i have managed to become a succesful trader on football only, and when a game doesnt go my way i get out at my pre set stop loss and i forget about it.

anyway the reason i comment is because i wanted to support you in your quest to make this work, and with correct approach it will. perhaps you should refrain from betting when you are tired and may fall asleep?

also dont feel downheartened because you are betting with a smaller bank. my advice to you would be to take a break, maybe even a month or so, and save up for a larger, more worhtwhile bank. sport is always going to be around, as is betfair, and a break will do you infinite good.

anyway good luck, and ill keep checking your blog out.

  2. Cheers for that. Sometimes with this small bank it can feel a bit insurmountable but I've overall been quite pleased with progress the last 3 weeks.
I could load a larger bank and I have considered it but I decided if I can make this work I can do so from any starting point and it will help my discipline as I won't be chasing large green and just taking a tick or two regardless of the amount. Most of my impatience and lack of discipline comes from external forces and these aren't going to change anytime soon so I must master myself in the current situation.
