P&L for 13/06/09
Football : 7.46
Tennis : 7.02
P&L since last post : 14.48
Another good day. 13 trades in all, but mistakes were made.
Football.
6 matches traded. N0 great happenings. I was tempted to go back in on O/U 1.5 in the brazilian match toward the end but decided not to and was quite fortunate as the two quick goals would have buggered me.
Tennis.
Set betting market for both the tennis matches I was in on today. The match odds were just too low and slow for my purposes. On both the Murray and Djoko matches I started with a large trade, 4 or 5 ticks, to start and then would go back in for smaller ones at strategic points and on both matches I got stuck on trades at the wrong times. On the Murray match in the second set when he started to lose his game a bit the market moved up and stayed up for several games. This was not helped by the fact that the cameramen were showing continuous close ups of the blood on Murrays hands. However he did come through and I got out.
On the Djoko match Djoko just seemed to start to start choking totally allowing Rochus to break back and sneding the market back up to pre-break point while I was still backed. I could, and should, have hedged out for no loss at this point but I didn't want to lose the green I'd already made. So I sat on tenterhooks till Djoko gained a two point lead on the Rochus serve and that brought the market back down for me to trade out. A foolish risk to take. ZERO IS ALWAYS BETTER THAN A LOSS. There were some fantastic opportunities for traders with greater nerve than me in the tie break. I saw Djoko 2-0 go from 1.4 to 3.0 and back to 1.2 in the space of 3 points. I think you would have to be a fanatical Djoko backer to be in there though. LOL.
A dissapointing retirement from Roddick rounded out the day
So Sunday has a bit more Football to trade with some internationals, mostly in the evening. Murray v Blake at Queens should be a win for Murray. Djoko v Haas at Gerry Webber, Hmmm, not sure. If Djoko doesn't have another Faff about moment then He should take it. Will have to be careful on this one.
In other news....
I was taking the painkillers two at a time yesterday to gauge there effect. A bit drowsy when they begin to kick in but that can be ignored if need be. They do knock the pain down to a manageable level. Wanted to try and get out for a walk or perhaps ride my bike today to see how it felt but got caught up trading from lunchtime onwards. Curse all these opportunities to make green. LOL.
Keep it green everybody.
