Football.
43 markets. No reds. A good weekend. I did struggle to stay on track with what was happening in other areas but I didn't stray.
Tennis.
5 markets. 1 red of £67.54. What the hell is wrong with me?. I said NO TENNIS!. I'd had a decent day with the football on Saturday and was planning to hit the hay when I thought ' I'll just have a look at what is happening with Sharapova v Zvonareva'. Fatal mistake. After watching for a couple of mins, yes a whole couple of mins, I decided to do a quick lay of Zvonareva on Sharapova's serve and green it out after a couple of ticks but it went against me and I took a red. Instead of letting it go I end up fully involved in the match trying to 'recover' the red and sit till 3am on a knife edge and end up taking a 30% loss of bank. Utter madness. One of the worst matches I have ever seen. I also did a few tennis matches on Sunday and managed to dig my way back too green overall but the Jankovic v Sharapova match was no better in terms of play. If I had left the tennis alone I would have had solid green for the weekend on the football, more than I ended up with as I missed many matches while staring at the tennis. I don't know what I'm thinking sometimes.
I promise myself now that I will not get involved in any of the minor tennis tourneys that are on this week. Football only.
In other news...
I have fixed my 32" lcd tv. It's been broken for 6 months and I've been using an old 15" CRT monitor for the duration. I knew what the problem was, most likely, and I knew where to get the replacement part to fix it but at £40 I was uncertain if it was worth spending that to fix a 6 year old 32" 720p tv when I could get a 22" 1080p monitor to replace it for £100. I've been thinking about downsizing a bit in preparation to change living circumstances. I had reassembled the tv and took pictures of it to put on ebay as spare or repair when I went to the parts website to get the link so I could put that in the ebay ad. When I pulled it up I saw that the part had been reduced in price to £25. After a bit of indecision I decided to order it. It came, I installed, it worked. WooHoo!!. It's nice to have my big screen back again and it puts off the outlay for the 22" monitor. When the time comes to move I can flog the fully functional tv on ebay for more than I paid for the part I'm sure. Nice to have something go my way for a change.
Unfortunately I have to make a sizable withdrawal in terms of bank percentage by tomorrow evening at the latest. My real life bank account needs it. I have to try and not let that affect my thinking either before or after during this weeks activities. I must stay focused.
Keep it green everybody
